It is necessary to have an electrical stripper as well as a flat-head screwdriver. Also, you’ll need wire cutters. The wire should include blue, green, red, and blue wire so that you can properly connect this to the DMX controller.

The first step is to use the wire cutters to cut the different cable colors. Make sure you leave room to allow the cables able to attach to your controller. Use the wire stripper to strip the coating off of the edges of the various colors of wires. Wires can be bent so that they don’t fray.

Once you have connected the cables you’ll notice a spot at the top of the controller that is comm, short for communication. The place to look is that you’ll see one of the cables, the white. Other wires must fit into the R, G and B segments within the box. It is best to reduce the number of wires which are visible.
